Newman Vipassana Meditation center in Israel was established in 2011 with the aim of enabling the practice of Vipassana meditation in the same way as it is traditionally practiced in the temples in Northern Thailand under the guidance of the Ven. Ajahn Tong (Phrathepsiddhajahn).
It is an intensive form of the Mahasi Sayadaw tradition with walking and sitting meditations.
The center is situated in the eastern Lower Galilee in northern Israel between Kfar Tavor and Kinneret and offers ideal conditions for meditation.
Everybody who is interested, with or without previous meditation experience, is most welcome to participate. The development of mindfulness and the attainment of insights through one’s own experience are independent of one’s origin, age, gender, religion or belief.
